About Me
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas in Denton. My professional experience spans a wide range of settings, including outpatient clinics, an equine-assisted therapy facility, a crisis residential unit, a dual-diagnosis intensive outpatient program, and on-call crisis assessments for an inpatient psychiatric unit. I’ve also provided disaster response services through a partnership with the Disaster Distress Helpline. Currently, I serve my local community and surrounding areas on the Medical Reserve Corps, offering mental health support in the aftermath of large-scale disasters and critical incidents.
I’m committed to maintaining both personal and professional well-being, which I believe is essential to being fully present for others. My self-care practices include staying connected with my support network, engaging in meaningful service, hobbies and positive routines, participating in ongoing training, and having fulfilling life roles. I enjoy spending time outdoors, camping with my family and two dogs, and getting lost in a good book.
I believe mental health is for everyone, but it can be difficult to find that balance. If you're feeling stuck, you're not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. My approach to counseling is personalized and collaborative. I will meet you where you are, and together, we'll work towards where you would like to be. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your journey. Reach out below by phone or secure message.
